In celebration of the third Girl Scout journey, It’s Your Story – Tell It!, Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland is having an essay contest for girls!

GUIDING QUESTIONS

Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies
and Juniors:

What have you learned in Girl Scouts?
What do you love about Girl Scouts?

Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors,
and Ambassadors:

How has your life changed because of
Girl Scouts?
What does Girl Scouts mean to you?

SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Length: Essays should be 1 page long or less.

Deadline: December 15, 2010

Submission Methods:
E-mail to gscouts@girlscoutsmoheartland.org with “Essay Contest” as subject or mail it to:

RECOGNITION INFORMATION

There will be one winner selected from each of the following groups: (1) Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, Junior; (1) Girl Scout Cadette, Senior, Ambassador.
Winning entries may be featured in a GSMH publication. Winners will receive a copy of the new It’s Your Story- Tell It! journey for their age level and a special writer’s kit from the GSMH retail shops.

NEW! Every girl who shares her story of Girl Scouting by entering this contest will receive a sister patch to add to her circle of friends.

All entries become property of Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland, Inc. and may be used or reproduced in informational or promotional materials.
