Dear Girl Scout Volunteer,
On behalf of Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland, I would like to thank you sincerely for giving your time and your talents to girls. Providing a safe, effective and inspiring Girl Scout Leadership Experience to more than 16,000 girls across a 68-county jurisdiction requires an immense amount of support.
As a volunteer Girl Scout leader, you are entrusted to mentor and encourage girls today – so that they may take the lead tomorrow. Every day, we hear stories in our office about the great things that girls are doing – discovering a stronger sense of who they are and what they believe, connecting with new friends and new worlds, and taking action in their local, national and global communities. These girls are extraordinarily fortunate to have volunteers like you as they engage in these processes.
April 22 is Girl Scout Leader’s Day, a special day in Girl Scouts to celebrate our volunteer Girl Scout troop leaders. Although we recognize you today, I hope you know how much you are appreciated each and every day. We all know that Girl Scouts exist for girls, but volunteers like you ensure that our mission to serve them is fulfilled.
For your time, your skills and your hearts: Thank you.
Yours in Girl Scouting,
Jennifer M. Orban, CEO
Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland, Inc.
