Encourage the girls in your council with computing-related achievements and interests to apply for the National Center for Women & Information Technology’s NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing, sponsored by Bank of America. Awardees will be selected for demonstrated aptitude and interest in information technology/computing; leadership ability; academic history; and plans for post-secondary education. Each qualified national awardee will receive:
- $500 in cash
- a laptop computer
- an engraved award for the student and the student’s school, and
- a trip to attend the Bank of America Technology Showcase and Awards Ceremony, March 27, 2010, in Charlotte, North Carolina
